I’m Tricia Smith, a writer, photographer, storyteller, and enthusiastic collector of hobbies.
My writing journey has taken me down several paths, from heartwarming children’s books inspired by my rescue beagles, Captain and Tennille, to honest conversations about menopause, to mystery short stories filled with twists and secrets. While the genres may seem worlds apart, they all share one thing in common: a love of stories that connect, encourage, entertain, and inspire.
Over the years, I’ve explored more hobbies than I can count, but two passions have remained constant: writing and photography. For me, photography is simply another form of storytelling. Whether through a camera lens or on the pages of a book, I’m drawn to capturing moments, emotions, and the small details that reveal something meaningful about the world around us.
I’m married, the proud parent of three grown children who are now writing their own life stories, and I share my home with two rescue beagles, Captain and Tennille. Their unique personalities, adventures, and unwavering companionship inspired my children’s book series and continue to provide endless creative inspiration.
Whether I’m writing for young readers, encouraging women through life’s transitions, crafting a mystery, or capturing an image that tells a story without words, my goal is always the same: to create connections, spark emotions, and remind us that every life has a story worth telling.
